FIRST LOOK:
You’re important to us, so you’re at the top of the list
To our valued supporters of Repeal the Death Tax:
We share your frustration that our first two efforts to qualify Repeal the Death Tax for the ballot did not collect enough signatures before time ran out. We have not given up, but as we wrote to you previously, we have another crisis before us that we must address with an initiative to Save Proposition 13.
The crisis is a series of court decisions that have made it easier to raise taxes of all kinds, even “sales taxes on real estate,” known as transfer taxes. These changes are hacking away at Proposition 13, and we must act.
That’s why we’ve filed an initiative called the Local Taxpayer Protection Act to Save Proposition 13. It is a one-page petition that can be printed at home. We need to prove that this can succeed, and that will make it possible to use the same technique to qualify Repeal the Death Tax for the next ballot.
The petition to Save Prop. 13 was cleared for circulation on Friday and we didn’t waste a minute. It’s ready to be signed.
Click or tap here to get the petition to Save Prop. 13 right now!
Please help this effort succeed by signing the petition as soon as possible — easy instructions and a clip-and-tape mailing label are included in the .pdf file.
Then please tell everyone you know that they can go to SaveProp13.com to print, sign and mail the petition themselves.
If you’d like to collect more signatures, we have a second version of the official petition that has room for six voters to sign. Here it is:

We wanted you to be the first to know about this petition because we so appreciate your support for Repeal the Death Tax. Please continue to urge everyone who supports that effort to go to RepealTheDeathTax.com and sign up to receive the future petition.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jon Coupal
