I am voting yes on this, as stores are being raided by clever thieves wu steal items that total under $950, so it stays a misdemeanor.  Two small store owners who I know, said to please vote for it. 

It's crucial to vote yes on Prop 36. This overturns Prop 47 from 2014, which led to $0 shopping bc thefts/drug possessions under $950 were changed from felony to misdemeanor. A lot of people worked very hard to collect petition signatures and finally got prop 36 on the ballot.

Below are the recommendations for the 10 California propositions. I just want to call out:
NO on 5
NO on 33
YES on 36

Do you know who wrote Prop 47 title and summary in 2014? Kamala Harris.  She was the CA Attorney General.
The title was Safe Neighborhoods and Safe Communities, the voters thought it was a good bill and voted yes.
