Greetings,
From an alleged $97 Billion surplus just before the last recall to a $222 Billion deficit now. You are going to pay for all that with old enhanced and brand new taxes.
However, The California Taxpayer Protection Initiative
(TPI) has qualified for the November ballot.
What it will do. Requires separate 2/3rds voter approval for each new state and local tax. No more "Fee" BS. Great description from Carl DeMaio at Reform California. This goes directly to minute 12 of the video, which deals with taxes.

Here’s what the TPI will prevent, unless each of these tax measures were to get a 2/3rds voter approval.
1. Toll increases for Golden Gate and other Bridges
2. Utility increases
A. Water and sewer
B. Electricity
C. Gas
3. School bonds
4. Housing bonds
5. Special parcel taxes and property tax reassessments
Here’s the 7 Massive Tax Hikes You Will Face If the TPI does NOT pass: (Note: It's sometimes called the TPAct)
1. Mileage Tax: Politicians want to impose a 6-cents per mile tax costing an average of $900 per car per year.
2. Healthcare Tax: Politicians propose to double California state taxes to fund government-run healthcare – costing average of $16k per household per year.
3. Exit Tax: a new tax for up to 10 years after residents move out of California. (0.4% of an individuals’ net worth over $30,000,000 in each tax year, no matter where it’s located—within CA, other states within the US, or overseas.)

4. Savings Tax: Politicians want a new tax on your personal savings and investments.
5. Gas Tax: The law passed recently imposing a new tax on oil companies, passed along to motorists, would be invalidated.
6. Recently the Newsom appointed California Public Utilities Commission initiated regulatory proceedings to make California the first state in the nation to switch to an “Income-Based” Utility Rate system. Assembly Bill 205, was signed into law by Newsom in 2022. The bill states that “the commission may authorize fixed charges which shall be established on an income-graduated basis.” Yes, your state tax returns will be forwarded to PG&E.
7. Local Tax Hikes: Any local sales or property tax hike adopted after January 2022 would be invalidated for not complying with the provisions of the TPA.

“In order to become eligible for the ballot, the initiative needed 997,139 valid petition signatures, which is equal to eight percent of the total votes cast for governor in the November 2018 General Election. The initiative has exceeded that threshold.”
So, get ready to vote YES on the Taxpayer Protection Initiative this November.
Unfortunately, Newsom just sued to take it off the ballot.

We the people need to sue to end his political career.
Here’s how to print petitions to recall Newsom. Please do so and coordinate with your neighbors or friends to gather signatures.
