We’re excited to tell you that we have confirmed a live radio broadcast and petition-signing event for:
Tuesday, April 12, Noon to 3:00 p.m.
Home base: Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, 4454 Van Nuys Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
Second drive-up site: Los Toros Mexican Restaurant, 21743 Devonshire Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311
The John Phillips show on 790 KABC will be broadcasting live from the patio of Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, and our volunteers will be working the drive-up petition-signing area. We’ll be collecting signatures for that last big push before our April 15 deadline for everyone to get all signed petitions in the mail to us! Mail them to: HJTA, 921 11th Street, Suite 1201, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Now, we need your help to make this event a showstopper. We’d like to have simultaneous signing sites throughout the state of California. Although KABC broadcasts in the greater Los Angeles area, the show is also available on the Listen Live link at KABC.com. So wherever you’re located, we hope you’ll arrange to set up a signing table at a location that can be listed on our website as well as KABC’s website. It would be great if you could be there to collect signatures on Tuesday, April 12, from noon to 3:00 p.m. to coincide with the live broadcast. But if you can be there longer, or even if you can only be there for an hour, we’ll be happy to list that on the website, too.

Tell us on the form if you need more petitions and we’ll rush them to you. If you need a banner in a hurry, you can download the banner artwork at this link and have it printed locally at a copy & print service, usually available at places such as Staples or FedEx Office as well as at independent print shops.

(Some of our volunteers arranged for a table but now are unable to attend.) We’re launching more radio ads this week on four more stations and in three languages. Momentum is building. We now have more than 12,000 volunteers signed up to circulate petitions, and many more who are gathering signatures on petitions they received from friends and co-workers.
