We the undersigned ask the Victorian state government to introduce 7-day service and longer operating hours on the following Greater Dandenong area bus routes: 802, 804, 814, 844, 885, 857

These service improvements would build on the Route 800 weekend upgrade, which got funding in the 2024 state budget. 

Greater Dandenong has Melbourne’s lowest median income and high social needs. Yet it has more bus routes without 7-day service than any other comparable municipality.

Better 7-day buses would benefit thousands with improved connections to jobs, education, health and community services including Chadstone Shopping Centre, Monash University, Chisholm TAFE and Dandenong Hospital.

Some would also improve connectivity to the Frankston and Glen Waverley train lines.
