It’s time Connecticut..

After the recent success of the trout stamp here in our state it had me and fellow fisherman discussing a musky stamp. We would have to have the musky fry purchased from other state’s, but with a price of 5-15+ dollars for a musky stamp yearly we believe the amount of interest would pay for itself. Not only would it immediately be our largest freshwater predatory species but it would bring in an incredible amount of money into our state and our fishing economy. 

Our pike program is top notch here in our state and I give a ton of credit to the DEEP and the state for all of their efforts in our fisheries Dept. Musky would absolutely bring instant excitement to our state. As of now if you want a musky you have to travel a few hours at minimum. Connecticut has multiple bodies of water in which musky would thrive. If pure strains are not on the table then even the sterile tiger musky expanded would be amazing. Reaching up to 50 inches and beautiful without risk of becoming over populated.
