Stop poisoning wildlife by aerial spraying of inhumane toxic anticoagulants over Hawaii

The Issue

It is the proposed experimental plan of federal and state agencies who are supposed to be protecting wildlife to both indiscriminately aerially spray and blanket the ground with highly toxic and potentially lethal chemicals in an attempt to eradicate pests such as mongoose and rat.  These chemicals are anticoagulants. They inhumanely make the animal hemorrhage and slowly bleed to death.  The chemicals intended for this eradication effort are Brodifacoum (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brodifacoum CHLOROPHACINONE (https://cameochemicals.noaa.gov/chemical/4918 and Diphenadione (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diphenadione Please take the time to check out the highly toxic properties of these products they intend to spray from the air into the environment.  PLEASE SUBMIT TESTIMONY DIRECTLY TO FISH AND WILDLIFE HERE: https://www.regulations.gov/#!submitComment;D=FWS-R1-ES-2015-0026-0004

These chemicals not only find the intended target but will also find pets, humans, game animals and other unintended wildlife. They will become part of the food chain as scavengers will eat the animals that have died from being poisoned. Humans may then eat game animals that have taken up the toxins.  As well it gets into the water table. This affects birds and animals that drink the water, the plants that use the water and run off that goes into the ocean and poisons the fish.... the fish that for hundreds of years Hawaiians have caught and eaten.  The toxin is found in everything making the entire food web poisonous.

If this is not bad enough because the agencies involved know about the "vacuum effect" where if they eradicate a section successfully new rodents and pests will move in, their plan is to do continual and repeated spreading of the poison.

In addition to destroying the habitat of the islands do you think people will want to come and visit under those circumstances?  They will be wary of swimming in the toxic soup that use to be a clean ocean and eating the suspect fish at the hotel restaurant!

Here is the notice of intent: https://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FWS-R1-ES-2015-0026-0001

Please act fast if you don't want to see this happen. April 7 is the deadline for submitting testimony.
