Fish at 85 Pontcanna Street has been trading as a fish monger, restaurant and wholesalers since 2011.

It has only had a A1 consent which is for the fish mongers.

It has been trading illegally as a wholesalers without B8 planning and illegally as a restaurant without A3 planning.

We are contesting against the wholesale.

• Wholesale increases waste, which encourages pest infestations, horrific smells, spillages from the bins and fish offal in the street.
• Double parked vans on Mortimer Road and Pontcanna Street holding up traffic.
• Vans being washed out of fish offal in the street.
• Unruly hours of vans being loaded which have been reported between the hours of midnight and 5 am.

Wholesaling of fish products should not be done in a residential area but an industrial estate.

I have lived with problems of smell, offal in the street, rats in the private alley, dead rats in my garden, blue bottle flies and horrific stomach turning rotten fish smells. I've not being able to open my windows or for my daughter to play in our own garden or hang laundry out on dry days. I believe this has been made worse by the wholesaling side of the business. It has affected my quality of life since 2012. It is affecting other residents and other businesses in the area.

Cardiff Council has finally acted and Fish at 85 is now finally applying for correct planning. I am contesting against the WHOLESALE.
