About two years ago, the C59/59 bus service between Callander and Stirling (via Doune & Deanston) used to offer services that ran at 8.15am and again at 3.40pm (times may not be exact). This was due to the fact that FirstBus were contracted with McLaren High School to run their services at that time for the school children in the Deanston/Doune area but other members of the public were free to still use the service. However a few years ago, FirstBus announced that they were no longer running the buses at those times due to no longer having a contract with the school and the children would be getting a coach return to and from school. As great as this is for the children, this has now prevented other people who used to use this service from traveling and making commutes to necessary requirements such as work, school/nursery runs etc. I can guarantee that the service still would have been in frequent use to other members of the public which is why I would like to get signatures on this petition to see how many people think the service should be returned or if not possible, ensure that other alternative arrangements can be made (DRT via the Stirling Council links to Doune/Deanston)
