IT'S ALL CHANGE, COMPARED TO MY LAST UPDATE!
I have just been informed by Managing Director of First, James Freeman, as of November 2016, we will have a brand new regular service to Keynsham!
At present, there are 2 service 19 buses per hour. From November, this will change.
There will be 1 number 19 bus per hour that operates to Bath via it's current route of Bitton and Kelston. There will also be 1 number 19A bus per hour that operates to Bath via Willsbridge & Keynsham. In total, there will still be 2 buses per hour to Bath - just different routes to Bath.
Due to the new 19A from November 2016, service 37 will revert from it's September 2016 route to Bath via Keynsham, to it's present route to Bath via Bitton & Kelston.
In the meantime until November 2016, because First need to give enough notice to the Traffic Commissioner and West of England Operatoes for route changes, we will have the temporary Service 19B from North Common to Keynsham, operating from 10am to 2pm, Mondays to Fridays.
Summary of routes through our area from November 2016:
Service 19 - Bath to Cribbs Causeway via Kelston, Bitton, Oldland, Cadbury Heath, Kingswood, Staple Hill, Downend, UWE and Bristol Parkway. Operating every hour.
Service 19A - Bath to Cribbs Causeway via Saltford, Keynsham, Willsbridge, Oldland, Cadbury Heath, Kingswood, Staple Hill, Downend, UWE and Bristol Parkway. Operating every hour.
Service 37 - Bath to Bristol via Kelston, Bitton, Longwell Green, Hanham, St. George, Lawrence Hill. Operating every hour.
Service 42 - Bristol City Centre to Bitton, Cherry Gardens via it's current route. Operating every half an hour.
From November 2016, the only direct service we will no longer have is to Southmead Hospital. However, this will be accessible via Services 19/19A/42 to Kingswood, then the half hourly Service 17 to Southmead Hospital.
RESULT! The help of this petition, and all of those who attended the council meeting have ensured we continue to receive a bus service to Keynsham.
I'd like to thank you all for signing this petition, and would like to thank Managing Director of First, James Freeman, and South Gloucestershire Council for their help in this.
Scott.
