Thank you to all supporters so far. I have emailed Chris Skidmore, our local MP, about the axing of the 17A. He is a supporter of the service to stay, and has told me that meetings with the council are to go ahead. I have had no response from First yet, but have also contacted Wessex Bus and South Gloucestershire Council to see if there is anyway the old 533 Mangotsfield to Keynsham service, which was axed in January 2015, can be reinstated. The 533 service previously used the same route as the 17A from Kingswood to Keynsham, with the addition of serving Longwell Green retail and leisure parks, as well as Cadbury Heath/Park Estate. This means the area would re-gain connections with Longwell Green, as well as keeping those needed links with Keynsham and Cossham Hospital. (Services to Southmead Hospital could still easily be caught from Kingswood or Cossham Hospital via the 533 route). Thank you.
