At their Feb. 5 meeting, Board members were expected to pass regulations that would make it virtually impossible for us to regain access to this treatment – but they couldn’t because something incredible happened:
So many firefighters (and people who support them) flooded the public comments, that Board members began to openly question whether the regulations should be reworked, or outright eliminated.
The vote didn’t happen, which means we have one more chance to stop it.
This Board’s time is up.
Regulatory Boards have one calendar year to pass new regulations, which means California Board of Pharmacy members either vote to pass these regulations on March 6, or the package dies on the boardroom floor.
We only lose at these meetings when firefighters don’t show up.
When firefighters speak, we win.
That means we need even more firefighters and their loved ones to show up on March 6 – on the phone or in Sacramento – and make a public comment.
