NYPD Officer Vincent J. D’Andraia, 73rd precinct, assaulted a young woman who was peacefully protesting on May 29th in Brooklyn, New York at a Black Lives Matter protest to honor the life of George Floyd. The officer not only smacked her phone and called her a “b*tch,” but pushed her to the ground. It caused her to have a seizure. She is currently at the hospital being treated for serious injury.

The assault is captured on film. He must be held accountable and face repercussions. This is not an isolated incident as multiple NYPD officers have stated he has harassed Black people all over Brownsville, New York.

The cop at question is currently being investigated by the NYPD and Internal Affairs, however, it is imperative that we put pressure on this officer and demand he be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Sign now to implore the NYPD and Criminal Justice system to take necessary actions and charge this violent police officer with the assault captured on video. NYPD officers can no longer get a free pass to brutalize and conduct violence, and we must set an example for all officers that we will not be silent when black and brown lives are being threatened. We are not safe in a city where the police use brute force to terrorize its citizens, particularly black lives. It is imperative we set these examples and demand justice for each and every victim of police brutality.
