Due to the inadequate supply of water on Niederwerfer Road in South Windsor for fire fighting as evidenced by the recent Burke home fire, we ask the town council of South Windsor to allocate funds for the  placement of holding tanks or cisterns on Niederwerfer Road. Or whatever means can be engineered to have water readily available on our street. Trucking in water was proven inadequate during the Burke fire. There are hydrants at each end of the street at 1 1/2 miles apart. Trucking in water causes a constant interruption of the flow of water. Please help our neighbors by signing this petition to not have another home lost.
