Impeach NYC Judge Naita A. Semaj
The Issue
New York City Judge Naita Semaj has a history of being too soft on criminals but she has now gone beyond this by being rude to a homicide victims family. Corde Scott was murdered by his stepfather, Tyresse Minter, who was just released from prison on parole a month ago. The “honorable” judge Semaj was terribly rude to the grieving family of Corde Scott, specifically his mother, Karen Glenn. To top it off, she released the defendant free without bail even though he admitted to “restraining” the boy for ten minutes until he passed out and not calling 911 until Scott’s mother told him to do so. Evidence shows Scott was strangled to death. Minter’s defense team had even asked the judge to impose a $10,000 bail but Judge Semaj decided Minter, who has been to prison twice, once for shooting someone, should be back on the streets for free. Her reckless actions impose a threat to the community by allowing violent criminals to be walking free. In the past she has let accused murderers and violent criminals to walk free only for them to go on to commit more crimes. She needs to be held accountable for her reckless actions and the community would be much safer without her misguided and foolish decisions. KEEP PEOPLE SAFE BY REMOVING JUDGE SEMAJ FROM THE BENCH!
