Fire Kevin Patullo

Fire Kevin Patullo
The Issue
After their Super Bowl winning 2024 season, the Philadelphia Eagles lost their amazing Offensive Coordinator, Kellen Moore, as he took a Head Coaching job in New Orleans. Needing a new OC, Head Coach Nick Sirianni decided Kevin Patullo was the man for the job. While at first it seemed like a good hire, fans quickly realized Kevin lacked creativity and the skills to be a good play caller. The Eagles are a team that should win most games in a blowout fashion, but with Kevin Patullo drawing up the same horrid plays, the Eagles squeak out with close victories each week. Week 3 against the Los Angeles Rams started off horribly, with the Eagles losing 26-7 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Being down 19, Jalen Hurts realized that Kevin’s play calling was the cause of the large deficit the Eagles found themselves in, causing Jalen to stop listening to Kevin and took over play calling, which helped the Eagles win the game 33-26. This in itself proves that Kevin is not ready to be an Offensive Coordinator in the NFL and his conservative way of playing will eventually cause the Eagles to crumble, similar to how Brian Johnson’s way of play calling caused the 2023 Eagles team to fall apart and ended the season in a horrible Wild Card loss in the playoffs. Due to these reasons, we need to fire Kevin Patullo or at the very least demote him and hire a better Offensive Coordinator. With a good play caller, the Eagles go back to back, but with Kevin Patullo calling the plays for the offense, this spectacular Eagles team will barely squeak into the playoffs just to lose in the first round yet again. We, as Eagles fans, cannot be fooled by an undefeated record and let that excuse the disgusting plays we see from the offense, but instead hold this team accountable now before it’s too late. We must get rid of Kevin Patullo before it costs us a Super Bowl.
Update: His predictable, horrible, uncreative play calling cost us our first loss of the season. His decision making is beyond frustrating and has me questioning what Nick Sirianni saw in him to hire him as the OC. If he isn’t fired soon, Denver won’t be our only loss of the season, and we won’t even sniff another Super Bowl appearance this year.
Update #2: The Philadelphia Eagles just suffered their second loss in a row, and this time it wasn’t even to a decent team. They lost to the 1-4 New York Giants, in blowout fashion might I add. 17-34 was the final score of the game. I truly and genuinely believe Kevin Patullo wouldn’t be capable of getting 10 wins with prime Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Gronk, and Eric Dickerson. The Eagles are two fixes away from being heavy Super Bowl contenders: Kevin Patullo, and that god awful secondary (not including Q and Coop). There is absolutely 0 reason to keep Kevin Patullo as the Offensive Coordinator and quite literally anyone else would be better, including Brian Johnson. If we keep this man hired we might as well just tank for a high draft pick, since there is about a 0.000001% chance that we win the Super Bowl with Kevin Patullo calling plays. Fix this stuff now before it’s too late.
Update #3: While the Eagles won last night against Green Bay, anyone with half a braincell noticed how poor the play calling was offensively. It amazes me how we have one of the best Wide Receivers in the league yet he has 2 targets for an entire game up until some stupid 4th down at the very end of the game, which should’ve just been a field goal. After Jalen’s fumble, which wasn’t entirely on him, Kevin Patullo went back from earning our trust against New York and Minnesota to being the same conservative horrendous play caller we know and hate. If we want to win any game in the playoffs, the biggest and first step we need to take is firing Kevin Patullo, because with him, we have a chance of losing the division and not making playoffs, even at 7-2 as of right now.
