Please Mets, fire the incompetent Eric Chavez.

He has been a destructive presence on this team with his poor hitting philosophy and negative attitude. There is a Twitter account under the handle @Luvmets12 that is clearly a burner. It only posts around game times and exclusively replies to fans. Nearly all of these replies are focused on defending Eric Chavez while attacking Mets fans.

This is not the behavior of a professional hitting coach. This toxic mindset is bleeding into the clubhouse and becoming a cancer within the team.

As quoted in a Fox Sports article:

“My biggest downfall as a player was I would go stretches where I was terrible,” Chavez said.

That is the attitude of a loser — and one that’s infecting the team with a mindset of “slumps happen, you get out of them” instead of taking a proactive approach to consistent hitting, which has been missing from this franchise for decades.

Please, Uncle Steve, do what is right. Remove Eric Chavez before more damage is done.
