The rise of pornbots on X (formerly Twitter) became a notable issue, especially after the platform's rebranding. Following changes in moderation policies and staff reductions, many users reported an increase in spam accounts and explicit content.

Elon Musk introduced Grok AI to X (formerly Twitter) as part of his broader vision to enhance user experience and engagement on the platform. Announced in late 2023, Grok AI aimed to provide advanced features like personalized content recommendations, improved search capabilities, and enhanced interaction with users.
