Fire Eagles Offensive Coordinator Sean Manion
The Issue
As a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, I’ve stood behind this team through the highs and lows, proudly representing our city and our players every season. But five weeks into the 2026 season, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the problems plaguing our offense. Offensive Coordinator Sean Mannion has not delivered the results this team needs, and it’s time for Eagles management to seriously consider a change.
The numbers speak for themselves. Through the first five games, the Eagles have scored just 92 points, averaging 18.4 points per game, while compiling a disappointing 2–3 record. Even more concerning, Philadelphia has converted just 25 of 68 third-down attempts, a 36.8% success rate. An offense with this much talent should be far more consistent at keeping drives alive and capitalizing on opportunities.
The struggles have been especially alarming in recent weeks. Against Chicago, the Eagles managed just 7 points and 248 total yards in a 27–7 loss. Against the Rams, they followed that performance with only 172 total yards in a 24–20 defeat. Then came the heartbreaking 19–17 loss to Jacksonville, in which the offense produced just 92 total yards and five first downs in the second half. Three consecutive losses have exposed serious issues with offensive consistency, adjustments, and execution.
Third-down play-calling and second-half production have become major concerns. Too often, the offense fails to sustain drives when the game is on the line. The Jacksonville loss was another painful example of a team unable to finish strong when it mattered most. These are not problems that Eagles fans should simply accept, especially with a roster capable of competing at a much higher level.
We have already seen what this franchise can accomplish when its offense operates effectively. Philadelphia deserves a coordinator who can create opportunities, make meaningful adjustments, and put our playmakers in positions to succeed. We cannot afford to waste another season hoping the same approach will suddenly start working.
This is not about one bad game. It is about a troubling pattern. Three straight losses, inconsistent third-down execution, and an offense that has struggled to produce in critical moments should be enough to demand accountability. Continuing down this path risks wasting the talent and potential of this football team.
I am calling on Eagles management to make a decisive change and replace Sean Mannion as offensive coordinator with someone who can bring better play-calling, stronger adjustments, and a more consistent offensive identity.
Our players deserve better. Our city deserves better. And the fans who show up every week, through every win and every loss, deserve an offense that gives this team a legitimate chance to compete.
