I used to love the sport of football. It was a passion, a haven, and a community for me. However, I haven't set foot in a football field for about seven months. I had to make the difficult decision to quit in order to protect my mental health, which was being adversely affected by Coach Laster, the head coach at Braswell High School. His coaching approach is not only detrimental to the players' mental health but also to the overall harmony and morale of the team.

Coach Laster's leadership has led to numerous players and fellow coaches leaving the team, disheartened by his methods. The environment he has created is not one that fosters growth or encouragement. Instead, it is manipulative and demoralizing. These young athletes, who should be learning the value of teamwork, perseverance, and respect, are instead experiencing undue stress and loss of confidence.

Football is a vital part of the experience at Braswell High School in Aubrey, TX. For many students, it is an opportunity to learn valuable life lessons and develop important skills. However, under Coach Laster's leadership, this experience has been compromised. It is imperative that we address this issue and restore a positive environment for current and future players.
