look at the screenshots at the bottom,  Arthur Henson, the newly appointed technology administrator at Nashville Community High School in Illinois, has made it almost impossible for students to access websites that provide leisure and much-needed breaks during an intense academic day. For many of us at NCHS, these online resources were more than just entertainment; they were a vital part of our school day, offering an outlet for stress relief.

Being a student in today's fast-paced educational environment, where pressures are as high as they have ever been, requires balance and downtime. Unfortunately, Mr. Henson's sweeping restrictions have eradicated this crucial aspect of our healthy schooling experience. By blocking nearly all sites, including those that are harmless and purely recreational, we are left with little to no respite from the continuous demands of tests, homework, and projects.

We understand the importance of maintaining educational integrity and ensuring students focus on their studies. However, it is imperative that a balance is struck. Studies have shown that short breaks and leisurely activities significantly enhance students' overall well-being and improve their productivity and focus. According to a 2020 report by the American Psychological Association, incorporating strategic breaks within study schedules can boost performance by up to 15%.

The current restrictions also cut off access to online educational tools and forums that can aid us in learning. This abrupt limitation seems counterproductive and inconsiderate of students' needs. Many of my peers and I have expressed our concerns, but they remain unaddressed.

We call on the Nashville Community High School administration to acknowledge the severity of our concerns and take immediate action by reconsidering Mr. Henson’s role and the policies he has imposed. It's crucial to restore a balanced internet policy that supports both educational and recreation needs, ensuring our school remains a place of learning and enjoyment.

These screenshots I found on his public Facebook and his public discord that anybody could join if they wanted to. These comments should’ve been reviewed before the school decided to hire him. These comments are not something I myself are comfortable knowing that a man who works with kids all day says.
