Liverpool have once again barely scraped by a team that should have been beaten by several goals. This time, it was against Wolves, who had only two points and no wins coming into this game. Despite taking a two-goal lead before halftime, Liverpool conceded from a set-piece yet again, and were dominated by Wolves for the last fifteen minutes of the game!!!
This problem has occurred time and time again for the past months, with vastly different opponents, players, and referees. That leaves Arne Slot as the common denominator. Whether he refuses to solve Liverpool's obvious problems or doesn't know how, it is hard to imagine a prime Liverpool side with Slot in the dugout.
A few days ago, Steven Gerrard offered himself for the Liverpool job. He knows Liverpool like a member of his own family, and during his playing days, he refused to leave for richer, more popular teams to stay at Liverpool. He is connected to the Liverpool fans as well as loyal-- potentially a clutch choice to boost Liverpool's courage, confidence, and calmness. So, why not get Slot out and bring in Gerrard as caretaker manager? He can hardly do worse than Slot!
