It's the New Year. Liverpool have changed their system, and benched Gakpo, MacAllister, and Kerkez. Salah is off at AFCON, set-piece coach Aaron Briggs has been fired, and Liverpool are fourth in the table.

But Liverpool still struggle to take chances. They've drawn 0-0 against Leeds United, and yet again the same repetitive problems have shown up: no drive, no courage, no fire in their bellies. And thanks to the humiliations of previous games (such as a 0-3 loss to Nottingham Forest), Liverpool players are now so afraid of losing that they're forgetting how to win.

When players are afraid, it's up to the manager to inspire them to take heart, try their luck, and play without fear. We've seen how Klopp did this for almost nine years, but it's been eighteen months since Slot joined and we're not seeing that passion and character from him.

We've changed pretty much everything else except the manager, and we've hit a standstill. Let's see if we can't drive FSG into some useful changes!!!
