Firbank Grammar School has presented to us (the Firbank community and students) their new Summer, Winter and Sport uniform for years ELC3 to Year 12. It is a revolutionary eco-friendly uniform, 'one of the world's first'. 

All my peers that I have spoken to have agreed that this uniform is awfully designed.  We had an expectation communicated to us by the school that we were moving back to the original colours (pre-war) of the Firbank uniform, the main colour being navy.The new colours used are terribly disappointing. The colours do not reflect the green, gold, navy and white of Firbank. 

There are a lot of colours in the new uniform that look very old-fashioned. The new colour of the blazer is a green colour with a touch of the old khaki. The summer dress has a built-in tie and is navy and cream striped with absolutely no shape. 

People have agreed that this new uniform will make us Firbank students a target for ridicule and humiliation. I think I can speak on the behalf of Firbank that this is a uniform we would not be proud to wear. 

In the light of COVID, is it really the right time to be changing the uniform? It would seem to be an added expense. Despite the fact we have not been given a price list, considering it is eco-friendly, it will be very expensive.
