Marinette Marine employs hundreds of people and also has many contractors at one time in the same building from all over the world. 

They also happen to have many people working there that are immune compromised and during this pandemic of covid 19, they tell their employees that they are essential instead of thinking about their health. They try to convince them that extra cleaning will keep them safe and yet the employees feel no comfort from that. 

People are brought in from all over the united states to work here and the risk of them bringing the virus in is great. 

We are asking that Marinette Marine be shut down for a minimum of 2 weeks with paid leave for its employees.  Not only are the employees concerned but so are their families and even local residents as the virus is spreading and they are bringing more people into the community that will increase the rate of it spreading. Essential employees that have been forced to work during this pandemic,  exposing themselves to potential death should also receive an exceptional compensation for their dedication.

None of us want to lose our family to this virus and by forcing employees to stay and work, they're creating a lot of anxiety and frustration as most people cannot afford to take an unpaid leave. If you want good employees,  treat them like they matter. The Navy can wait a few extra weeks for a ship,  it's not like they need it tomorrow but we do need our family.
