There has been a potential crowdfunding scam that has deceived gamers for almost a decade, and it has been run by a person very influential in the gaming space. This is Mark Kern/Grummz. This petition impacts the thousands of backers and the greater gaming community, as potential crowdfunding scams impact everyone, especially when done by someone so influential. Please sign!

Mark Kern need to be transparent with his crowdfunding and future plans to finish his demo that has been in development for 8+ years. During this time he has taken years off at his own admission and he continued to crowdfund, deceive backers and not meet commitments on his M3 Indiegogo campaign in 2018 and beyond. Progress is non existent, although Mark is funded as a full time resource on it.

At a potential crowdfunding of $500,000+ based on estimates (Mark can clear that up and this is one of the purposes of the petition) and very little progress over the last 8 years, It looks like he might want to make the game "forever" so he can continue to not complete the demo. He says that his ultimate goal is a Kickstarter, with it's all or nothing model, it comes at big risk of not gaining funding due to his past performance in Red5 and MEK.

He has also stated that the funds he gains from his subscribers crowdfunding his game might turn into a legal fund if he has any litigation, which best case scenario is dubious , worst case scenario it could be illegal.

He has been deceptive with doing what he would say with the funding. An example if that he said if he raised 60K it would be enough to complete a full vertical slice mockup in 6 months and then a Kickstarter 1-2 months later. This never happened, and it's unknown if it will.

That was in 2018. In 2019 he started crowdfunding through a homemade payment system that is just a homemade subscription service that unlike campaigns in IndieGoGo and Kickstarter, has no transparency on milestones or funding goals. In 2024 it is not even close to being ready for a Kickstarter to fund full development, but yet full of ways to spend money on including subscribing and buying jpeg images.

This money apparently has been being used to fund a novel and tabletop game as well. This was not part of any original milestones.

This petition demands only three things: 

• Details on how much has been crowdfunded in total
• How much more will be required to develop the "demo" before a Kickstarter
• A roadmap of future development and transparent funding goals for each milestone
