Salaried class pays a huge portion of salary as Income Tax, One of the benefits that we get as an exemption is House Rent Allowance. Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida are not consider as Metro Cities while filling for HRA, whereas Rental in these cities are 30%-40% higher as compared to Delhi. We would like to request our Honorable Finance Minister to Include NCR cities as Metro Cities for HRA Exemption effective FY 2020-21.

This would help people living in NCR us claim 50% of our basic salary as HRA similar to metro cities and give us more money in hand.
