The hottest topic on the agenda for the monthly meeting is still Commissioner Kyle Ward’s proposal todissolve the county’s Board of Health and replace it with an advisory body that would have no policy-making authority. Commissionnarrowly passed the revised ordinance last month on a 6-4-1 vote, and it returns for its second and final reading today.

Ward has signaled he may be open topostponing the vote for a month, which would keep the Board of Health in place for now but also keep it under immediate threat of being abolished.
