We are spending a lots of money to buy big screen televisions and spending good amount of money to subscribe Netflix, prime video, cable tv, internet etc to watch the blockbuster movies, series etc. Though all the HD TVs have 16:9 aspect ratio,  most of these contents are cropped into cinema scope aspect ratio which significantly reduces the the actual viewing area. So when i watch these contents on my tv, I see two big black patches on top and bottom of the display which looks pathetic. 

I request all the film makers, directors, producers to stop using cinemascope  for TV distribution or atleast keep an option to switch to16:9 aspect ratio .
