We are creating this as students from The Duston School who are working on creating a campaign regarding the issue of potholes in the Northampton as part of the Inspire US competition.

Our campaign revolves around the problem that potholes pose to people in our local community. We have seen how they impact the lives of people firsthand through our parents, as they hinder their ability to go to work easily due to damaged roads and they can damage cars. After gathering data through surveys and interviewing the public, we have concluded the affect of potholes has becomes a main concern to the Northampton area. 

We would appreciate your help increasing awareness on our topic of choice and signing this petition not only to help us in our competition but to also bring awareness to those in charge how bad the issue of potholes affect our local community

The Inspire US competition helps politics students like us to improve our campaigning and advocacy skills. This opportunity allows us to create and run a local campaign to improve community cohesion in our local area. Those who are successful will be granted the opportunity to showcase their campaign in London and potentially 4 groups will be able to win a trip to Washington during the US elections where they will take place in masterclasses in campaigning. It would be very beneficial for us to win this competition as the US trip will provide a greater insight in the topic of US politics (a section on our A level politics specification)
