Road Ranger wants to build a truck stop less than 125feet from my grandchildren's front door. I built and live nextdoor.  That means the potential of noise and light pollution along with the possibility of drug and human trafficking.

We live in a quiet neighborhood near a major interstate. All of our homes are modest. All of us moved here to escape the busy city life. All of us have private wells for water and fear the environmental impact this may bring. The possible contamination is a huge concern for our water and air!  The precedents for this are as follows. Many truck stops serve not only diesel fuel but gasoline as well. There is substantial research documenting the sufficient benzene and other harmful compounds are released into the air from underground storage tank vents. It feels like money over quality of life. They need to find a better suited location. They have built 10 truck stops in this state and not one is near a residential area! If we fail in this endeavor our children/grandchildren will pay a price.
