Jon Jones is supposedly extremely concerned over one aspect of his potential fight with Tom Aspinall.

Despite the pleas from fans around the world, the showdown that the MMA community so desperately craves is yet to come to fruition.

There has been several roadblocks preventing this BIG fight from happening but it is definitely not Tom's fault. He has gotten the shit end of the stick since he became the Interim Heavyweight Champion almost 2 years ago! He has even defended his belt once which is unheard of in the history of the UFC. 

Jon Jones the disputed champion has come up with one excuse after another for the latter part of two years now. His last excuse? He needs 6 months to prepare for a fight against Tom Aspinall. He has even gone towards the deep end and has said that 'fighting Tom won't do anything for his legacy' but I would say that he ruined his legacy when he struck a pregnant lady and ran away like a coward. 

Tom deserves better. I have witnessed it before, a champion doesn't want to fight or he or she is injured or moves up a division and guess what? They have either been stripped of their belt or they vacate the belt so the division can move forward. The correct way to go about things without impacting any other fighters in the division. 

You can argue that Jon Jones just defended his belt last November against Stipe Miocic. That is correct. But remember that they were supposed to fight a whole year before their eventual showdown. No disrespect to Stipe but his retirement came years ago. It was either because of the money or pride that brought him back for one last fight. 

So I ask you all to sign this petition honorably and truthfully with hopes that this grabs the attention of Dana White or UFC executives to make things right. Tom aspinall deserves better, the heavyweight division deserves better. If Jon Jones doesn't want to fight Tom well then he should vacate his belt and move on with his life.
