Residents neighbouring 265 The Ridgeway development site have received notices regarding the Brethren's appeal to the Planning Inspectorate, because Harrow Council, quite rightly, refused permission for this inappropriate development to go ahead!
The good news is ~ there is to be an inquiry which the public can attend but the bad news ~ the Planning Inspectorate is in Bristol! If anyone wishes to express a view they can attend the inquiry but it will be at the discretion of the Inspector whether persons can state their objections.
The date of the inquiry is not yet known and residents will, hopefully, be informed in due course. All correspondence, and I assume that means everything recorded so far, regarding the planning application will be forwarded to the Inspectorate. In the meantime if people wish to make further comments they can do so online at:- https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk or send comments directly to:- The Planning Inspectorate, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol, BS1 6PN
I urge everyone who has commented so far to write or email as soon as possible as all representations must be received by 11th April! Time is of the essence as this is our final chance to ensure our democratically elected Councillors, who listened to concerns of local residents and turned this monstrous scheme down and upheld the D1 Covenant placed on the land.
This is a cynical attempt by the Brethren to whitewash the Inspectorate by offering units on site to local Chiropodists and other medical organisations. This will allow them to say they are conforming to the D1 Covenant but still intend to build 3, 4, 6 & 7 storey apartment blocks for 178 dwellings ignoring local concerns!
PLEASE DON'T DELAY - WRITE TODAY!
