Hopefully everyone who has written to the Council about 265 The Ridgeway has received a letter confirming that the Planning Committe will be considering this application at the meeting on Wednesday 28th July at 6.30pm at the Kadwa Patidar Centre, Kenmore Avenue, Harrow, HA3 8LU.

It says if you would like to attend in person you must be able to show you have had a Covid test up to 24 hours beforehand or you will not be allowed in.  You can get a free test at many local pharmacies or find the address of your local test centre at www.harrow.gov.uk/coronavirus-covid19/book-covid-test  You must also wear a mask/face covering (no balaclavas please it would give out the wrong message!) and use hand saniitizer.

Could there be a more effective way for keeping people out?

If you are unable to attend you can view the proceedings online at www.harrrow.gov.uk/virtualmeeting and select the details of the meeting by the date and type i.e. planning and the agenda can be seen on

https://www2.harrow.gov.uk/ieListMeetings.aspx?Cld=1001&Year=0

I know, I know but persevere.....

The application is recommended for refusal for very flimsy reasons, which can easily be addressed and re-submitted by the developer, at which time the Council will be unable to stop it.  There is NO mention in the report addressing residents anxieties about the unsuitability of the scale and height of the whole plan.

The Councillors could of course tell the Brethren that they will not lift the restrictive D1 Covenant.

As the planning officers recommend refusal at this stage, albeit on spurious grounds, the rule is that we will not be able to speak at the meeting!

Please come and give your support to obstruct this wholly inappropriate scheme which will be a blight on our leafy green landscape forever.

See you there.......
