Please watch Harrow West MP, Gareth Thomas's, video posted on Facebook supporting opposition to the overdevelopment of 265 The Ridgeway.
There is to be another public consultation around June/July to, once again! take note of residents objections and he urges as many people as possible to make their views known and write to Harrow planning officers.
There is a D1 Covenant on this land which prohibits housing and a massive development of this kind is completely out of character with the area. If allowed, contrary to the D1 restriction, it will destroy the peace and tranquility of one of Harrow's important and fast disappearing, green spaces. As well as the loss of trees, wildlife and privacy of nearby houses it will overshadow, there will be additional traffic nuisance, less parking space, cramped schools and poorer medical facilities.
This photo shows the wanton destruction after Meeting Room Trust vandals felled dozens of trees bordering the West Harrow Allotment site. Their actions seem to demonstrate how confident they are in getting their own way with Harrow Councillors and Planners.
How else could they they think this action would assist their cause!
Please keep a lookout for dates of the public consultation which will be posted around the local area and also publicised here with names and addresses of people to contact.
The fight goes on!
