Thank you for your support getting the fountain lights turned off from 11pm-8am every night! Your signature was a huge help to the human and non-human residents living in the area. This ruling set a precedent for other polluting lighting in Surrey. By doing research on this topic and seeing the amount of support on this petition, I have decided to launch a movement tackling light pollution in Metro Vancouver. With the "first interactive illuminated tower" being built right across the street from this fountain, we need to let our cities know that we do not want to lose more of our night skies for the sake of vanity.
