Fight Inflation: Demand Cadbury to Reduce Freddo Price to 10p

Fight Inflation: Demand Cadbury to Reduce Freddo Price to 10p
The Issue
Back in 2005, the country’s favourite chocolate, our darling Freddo, cost 10p. In that same year, the minimum wage for ages 22+ was £5.05. This meant that with one hour’s wages, you could buy 50 Freddos and have 5p left over. Nowadays, the Freddo costs a horrendous 30p for the 18g chocolate we receive. For a reasonable comparison, the minimum wage for ages 22+ in 2024 is £11.44. This means that for an hours wage, you can only afford to buy 38 Freddos. Many people in England and other parts of the world agree that this is ridiculous.
Furthermore, in 2005, Cadbury’s had a revenue of £6508 million, whilst in 2022, they had a revenue of £1.95 billion. As their revenue has almost tripled, Cadbury’s can more than afford to lower the price of a Freddo to 10p.
If you are like me and are sick of big brands taking more than what is necessary out of their paying customers pockets, sign this petition and fight for a reasonable price for our Freddos.
