I am a resident of Bradfield Farms, 28215, NC with a low income. My water consumption is minimal, yet my monthly water bill has skyrocketed from $30 ( that was before with Bradfield farms Water company) to over $100 since the takeover of our local water service by the corporate private company Carolina Water Company. This increase is not only outrageous but also unjust and it feels like a violation of my rights. Water is a basic human need and should not be at such costs.

 
Our local water service, Bradfield Water Company was transferred to a  national corporation without consulting us, the residents who are directly affected by this change. We were not given an opportunity to voice our concerns or objections.

The high costs imposed by Carolina Water Company are unbearable for many in our community who struggle to make ends meet. It's time we demand accountability and fairness in how our essential services are priced. The last bill reached 290$ for 2 people, and the previous was 170$. 

We propose that water costs should be capped and be affordable for all citizens, including impoverished ones.

 We request our area to be self sustainable again, have its own well, water reservoir and water utility.

We request more options for water utilities and to be supported  by the city or county.
