President Obama's Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act took a big step toward making sure every worker in this country receives equal pay for equal work. But there's still an unacceptable pay gap in our workforce.

Women make 77 cents to men's dollar. Over two thirds of American families with children rely on women's income to make ends meet. This huge pay gap affects more than just the women taking home the paycheck, it hurts families and communities, too.

In his State of the Union address, the President said that any economy built to last encourages the talent and ingenuity of everyone who's willing to work.
