We are calling on Fraser Coast Regional Council to install secure fencing around the Denmans Camp Road Off-Leash Dog Park between Parkway Drive and Totness Street.

While the park is a valuable community asset, its proximity to busy roads and the shared bike and pedestrian path creates an unnecessary safety risk. Dogs can easily run onto the path or towards traffic, putting pets, cyclists, pedestrians and motorists at risk.

The park already provides water facilities and dog waste bags, demonstrating council’s commitment to responsible dog ownership. Installing secure perimeter fencing would make the park safer and more accessible for local residents and visitors while maintaining its existing benefits.

We urge Council to prioritise this upgrade to improve safety for everyone who uses the park.
