From Breeders, handlers, groomers, veterinarians, sportsmen and purebred dog owners worldwide

Mr. President,

On behalf of Breeders, handlers, groomers, veterinarians, sportsmen, and purebred dog owners worldwide, we express our respect and ask you to support and aid Ukraine, which is currently under full-scale attack by Russian Federation.

On February 24th all of the major Ukrainian cities were attacked by Russia. Your fellow Ukrainian dog-lovers ended up trapped under shelling, shooting, and informational pressure. Some of us are struggling to buy dog food, medicine, and have to physically protect our pets. On February 25th, one of our colleagues tragically died in the attack conducted by Russian Federation. We urge you to take action against the aggression. The reaction of the international community, including FCI, is necessary for Russia to be isolated and stopped. Sanctions from FCI can save millions of lives.

Thus we encourage you, representing the international dog-lovers community, to take decisive action and:

•  Cancel all international FCI dog shows/trials in Russia until Russian Federation retrieves its armed forces from Ukraine;

•  Refuse to register any litters under RKF until Russian Federation retrieves its armed forces from Ukraine;

•  Ban RKF judges from international dog shows;

•  Do not issue C.I.B, C.I.E, CI..T, C.I.C, C.I.AG, C.I.OB, C.I.TR, and C.I.D titles to RKF-registered dogs until Russian Federation retrieves its armed forces from Ukraine.

Once again, we would like to highlight, that isolation of Russia is the action required from the international community to stop the war in Ukraine. The war that is happening is not under question anymore - it is declared, it is violent, and recognized by the entire civilized world.

Standing by without any action in this situation can be considered as support of the violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
