Jordan Benniefield started this petition to Federal government of the United States

President Donald Trump is known for many things, but his most recent major accomplishment is the successful assassination of Iranian Major General Qassim Suleimani via drone strike. Thanks to the landmark achievement of killing a major Iranian public figure who was exceptionally well-liked by the people of Iran, the fragile diplomatic relationship that the US had with Iran has all but collapsed. This is especially meaningful due to the nuclear deal we and several of our allies in the EU worked hard to create, which Iran has now expressed they have no interest in maintaining.

It seems clear now that the Iranians are quite upset and seek to avenge their beloved Major General, who was suddenly murdered by command of our Commander in Chief without any warning to much of the US Government, including Congress, or any of our allies. Most of which, notably, are strongly opposed to this sudden and seemingly spontaneous decision. Naturally, this means that the US Government is woefully under prepared to deal with this situation, and we have very little support from our usual allies.

Knowing this situation, I would like to propose my genius solution. Let us simply give President Donald Trump over to the Iranians for a "diplomatic visit," and in return, we would like them to understand that the rest of the civilized world has no interest in escalating this conflict. Americans do not want to die in this conflict, our allies do not want anybody to die in this conflict, and the Iranian people are likely not keen to see the destruction and hardship that a war would bring. We can talk out this situation; we took Suleimani, you can have Trump. Let's make the trade and call it even.
