With the most recent actions of Minister Bennett insensitive remarks to the Indigenous MP of Vancouver-Granville it is come apparent that Minister Bennett has come unfit for the role of Minister of Crown-Indigenous relations.

    The honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould made remarks about PM Trudeau “jockeying for a election” regarding the handling of the findings of unmarked graves of Indigenous children and Minister Bennett sent a private text message with a single word “Pension?” to suggest her remarks were more intended to secure a pension. With the honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould being First Nation these remarks in a private text are beyond insensitive and reflects the true character of Minister Bennett who sports a orange “every child matters” on her social media pages. 

    Further it is also unacceptable that Minister Bennett continues to fight Indigenous children in court and her actions in parliament are contradictory to her public statements regarding the betterment of Indigenous people’s lives.
