MY STORY.... My FH'S exwife gets $1600/month in child support, a $10, 000 child credit ( those alone make for an over $30, 000 career off of the children), his salary is $95, 000/year and of that 28% is taxed then he's pays additional tax on child support, he provides over $400/month on insurance for his children, plus the truck payment (the truck he got prior to having to pay $800/month in rent), added electric bill, phone, car insurance (which lapsed in March and can't afford to get it back), cable (that has been off for a week and still can't pay to have it turned on), wondering how we'll feed everyone while his children are here, and God forbid something happen or breakdown bc we couldn't afford to fix it. His exwife had two months without the children. They get back home and she has purchased a new couch and a 52 inch TV that she made sure her oldest told Alex. Am I envious? No! Not at all! This woman has a job plus a career off of her children. This man busted his ass from the bottom to where he is now and collects less than half of a paycheck while we are DIRT FUCKING POOR! In our state, NC doesn't give a shit what she makes and doesn't even factor it in. In today's economy bw taxes, additional cs taxes and the 25% of his income going to the "kids" --->WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LIVE... even the BASIC necessities! I am a divorced mother who DID NOT take my exhusband for all he's worth because he DESERVES A LIFE TOO! THERE ARE FATHER'S WHO ARE HOMELESS OR ON THE VERGE OF IT BC THEY ARE BARELY ABLE TO AFFORD THE SIMPLE BASICS OF LIFE. SOME HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE....THEY HAVE NO QUALITY OF LIFE! These have to Change! 1) The income percentages need to be dropped on the paying parent. 2) The income of the receiver needs to be included. 3) Bills and everyday factors need to be considered. They have to be! 4) These are father's who can't afford to spend an EXTENDED amount of time with their children bc they cannot AFFORD to! ***This is just my story, but there are so many others who are suffering! The financial rape needs to stop! I'm not proposing to end child support, but the child support system needs a facelift and I urge each and everyone of you to sign and share this! These father's are more than paychecks and deserve more than a poverty lifestyle!!!! It is mentally breaking these men down! The times have changed, inflation, prices have gone up!
