I recently lost my dog which was much more than just a dog.  He helps me in many ways daily. I took him to a vet in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in which was his demise due to lack of caring and such high cost.  I don’t want anyone to have to go through what I did. After doing much work I have found that this vet has caused so much pain to so many families in the area for no good reason.  I was quoted between $3000 to $5000 for surgery for my dog that I was not even sure was needed.  There is no regulatory body that regulates Vets in Ontario that I am aware of after doing much research. I have written the college of vets but I want to see something done to make it more reasonable for an average person to take their pets to see a Dr.

I am not sure if you are aware of the pricing of vets or if you even have a pet, but mine are much more than just a “DOG”.

I am writing to ask for help to get this under control so “everyone” can afford to see a vet on a regular basis. This has gotten so out of hand that it’s getting to the point only the wealthy can afford to visit a vet and that’s not right. I will continue to push forward on this matter with hope of getting some help.

Vet reform is needed across Ontario ASAP
