Regulations for Sober Living and Rehab Facilities in Orange County
The Issue
As a mental health professional that worked for a rehab facility in Orange County, patients would often come to me regarding the care they were receiving. Here are some of the complaints that I encountered and witnessed firsthand:
Patients going days without medications
Patients requesting to see a doctor but never having the chance to do so
There was never a nurse on staff as house managers and med techs would administer medications
Drugs/Drug residue being found near the treatment facility
Patients requesting to see a therapist and it taking weeks to see a mental health professional
My organization funding airfare to the treatment facility, promising to fly them back to their state of origin, and having patients pay their airfare back to their state of origin once they were at the facility
