No robocalls to cellphones without our consent.

The Issue

No Robocalls to Cell phones - Protect Your Rights and Privacy!

Corporate interests like the Chamber of Commerce, the American Bankers Association, and debt collectors are trying to take away your rights and invade your privacy.  Big business is pressuring the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to open the floodgates on wrong number robocalls to American consumers. Corporations want the right to repeatedly hound you with automated calls and texts anytime or anywhere without your approval – even if you’re not a customer – using up minutes that YOU pay for!

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) prohibits any robocalled (or autodialed) call or text message to cell phones without a person’s consent except for emergencies. The FCC should ensure that the TCPA encourages industry to follow the law, rather than reducing liability for big business.

But there's still time to stop it.

If the FCC hears an outcry from you and other Americans, they'll stop this industry proposal.  Corporate interests don’t deserve special treatment when they violate the law. Tell the FCC:  No robocalls to cellphones without our consent.

A compiled petition will be presented to the FCC.

The National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) and the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC), on behalf of its low-income clients, urge you to share this petition with your friends and family.
