The Issue

In 2002, the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study shook women’s healthcare. It claimed that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) increased the risks of breast cancer, heart disease, stroke, and blood clots—so the trial was stopped early, doctors pulled women off treatment, and HRT use plummeted overnight. Fear replaced science.

📌 “The WHI scare was based on outdated drugs — not bioidentical estradiol and progesterone.”

But here’s the truth: the WHI wasn’t studying modern, bioidentical hormones. It tested Premarin (estrogen from pregnant horse urine) and synthetic progestin, not the body-identical estradiol and progesterone widely used today. Later research proved the risks were overstated, and that for younger women or those near menopause, the benefits often outweigh the risks. Still, the damage was done, and women have been suffering ever since.

📌 “Women’s health was derailed by a study using pregnant horse urine estrogen and synthetic hormones, not the natural ones many women use today.”

Meanwhile, the FDA approves testosterone therapy for men—but not for women. This is despite research showing that nearly 40% of women over 45 experience low testosterone, leading to fatigue, brain fog, mood changes, low libido, and muscle loss. Insurance companies refuse coverage, leaving women without access to safe, effective treatment.

This isn’t medicine—it’s sex discrimination. Women deserve equal access to life-changing hormone therapies based on real science, not outdated fear.

👉 Sign this petition to demand fairness, equity, and an end to systemic discrimination in women’s healthcare.
