FCPS (VA) students should be able to have a graduation.  We have spent 13 years working so hard for this moment. Rather than having an online graduation, FCPS should postpone graduation and give us a REAL one. Many students and family members are absolutely heartbroken. There are parents who have thought about this moment when their child was born, and now they won't be able to see it. There are grandparents getting older, and this might be their last chance to see a big life moment in their grandchilds life. There are many students who have faced difficult challenges and have been looking forward to walking across a stage and receiving their diploma. Some of these students have lost parents or loved ones, had illnesses, and more hardships. Despite all of the obstacles these students have made it to graduation. All of our hard-work deserves a real ceremony and graduation. Other counties are waiting and giving students their well deserved graduation, we deserve the same. Let’s make sure the school board hears about this. Of course COVID-19 should be taken seriously which is why graduation should be postponed.
