Albert Douglas has been jailed in Dubai over the financial failings of his son’s company.  The UAE is notorious for criminalising what would be considered a civil matter in the UK.  The UAE is also notorious for jailing family members or using prisoners for ransom.  The family can not pay the extortionate fines.  They have lost their properties and their businesses have been looted.

Now, 60 year old grandfather Albert, is rotting in prison and will likely never be released.  While he has been in jail, his own business has failed which will cause more criminal cases to be levied against him for no fault of his own.  This is why Dubai is the riskiest place to invest in or do business.

While in jail, Albert has witnessed the most horrific torture, with people being hung upside down and abused.  When Albert asked for his heart medication, he was beaten.  He didn’t ask again.  Lee Bradley Brown died in police custody.  Princess Latifa, Matthew Hedges, Artur Ligeska and numerous others have testified to their torture.
